What is Disc Golf??
It sounds like the kind of game a bunch of buddies would dream up when they had nothing better to do. Maybe it is! Disc golf combines Frisbee-flinging techniques with golf-style greens, and it's popularity is growing rapidly. It's similar to traditional golf, in that you tee off from a specified tee area and throw to the hole which is a basket on a pole. You want to land it in the basket in the fewest throws possible.

It's pretty much all the same rules, except you throw a disc instead of whacking a ball. You use different discs for different purposes: a thin driver disc for long throws, a thicker heavier putting disc to drop it in the basket up close.

The driver doesn't fly like a normal Frisbee; it tends to go longer and straighter, with a distinct curve in the same direction as the thrower's hand.
There are many elements that affect your throws; the flick of the wrist, the angle, the body torque, the wind. Our course creates even more of a challenge due to the number of trees and the changes in elevation throughout the course.
