  • What is the average budget of a couple getting married at Boondocks Barn & Lodge
That is a great question! In general, we believe the average budget of a couple getting married at Boondocks Barn & Lodge is between $15,000 - $18,000 for all wedding expenses (venue, food, dress, DJ, photographer, etc.). We have had some creative couples with smaller guests lists host beautiful weddings in the $10,000 - $13,000 range, and we have had several lovely events here spending significantly more than the average.
  • Does the venue have bar packages? Can I supply my own non-alcoholic drinks?
The venue does have in-house bar services and affordable alcohol bar packages. The venue is the exclusive provider of all beer, wine, hard alcohol, non-alcoholic drinks and bar service. No outside alcohol or non-alcoholic drinks are allowed to be brought into the venue space. (barn) We offer affordable + fun bar packages for our couples. Our bar packages include selected alcohol, (non -alcohol drinks - coke, diet coke, sprite, lemonade, water) licensed bartenders + permits + cups + ice. We encourage you to reach out to Clare, our bar manager approximately 5- 6 months before your event to go over your selected package. Clare is also available for in person consultations with our clients during our Booked Couples Open Houses that are schedueld throughtout the year. Initially, we allowed couples to bring in their own non-alcoholic drinks, most venues don't and we didn't understand why! It seemed like a great benefit to allow couples to bring in their own non-alcoholic drinks. The truth is after 2 years of allowing couples to bring in their own non-alcoholic drinks we realized it was not a ideal benefit for couples and their guests. A quality experience is important for our couples and their guest and unfortunately, in many instances not enough product was brought or the station was not kept stocked and clean. And honestly, it was a huge inconvenience for couples or parents to have to bring the non-alcoholic products in, set the station up, transport ice and find a family member or friend to monitor it and keep it stocked and clean. In many cases, too much product was purchased and couples were left with multiple cases of sodas and gallons of lemonade at the end of the night resulting in hundreds of dollars that was spent needlessly. Although we had many great experience with couples supplying their own non-alcoholic drinks, when it was a bad experience it was really bad for the couple, their guests, and us. To provide your guests with a full beverage experience and a variety of non-alcohol drinks we include all non - alcoholic beverages in our bar packages. For those couples choosing to have a "dry wedding", we have a Non - Alcohol Drink Package we can create a fun Mocktail Bar Package for guests to enjoy along with tea, lemonade, sodas and water.
  • Do you offer straight tables instead of round?
We have a limited number of straight tables onsite that can be used for your gift table, head table, etc. We also have 4 beautiful straight farm tables. The majority of your guests will be seated at round tables.
  • Do you provide table linens, cups, silverware, etc.
No. Boondocks Barn & Lodge provides an awesome venue, tables and upgraded reception chairs. Linens can be rented through us. They are not included in the venue rental. You are welcome to bring in your own linens. We also have a extensive decor room that can be rented. With over 1,500 + pieces to choose from, you do not have to bring in any of your own decor unless you want to. At you six week onsite meeting with the coordination staff, you will choose your decor and it will be at the event barn the day you arrive. All you need to do is decorate to your vision. At the end of the event, our staff returns the decor to the decor room for you. There is no work or packing up that you need to do. We do it for you!
  • What happens in case of rain?
In the case of rain we have a beautiful backdrop indoors with the Boondocks Barn Fireplace. We will set up 32 chairs for immediate family and the remaining guests sit at their tables. Our team will remove the 32 chairs after the ceremony. Our couples have loved this option because it's a stunning ceremony location and doesn't require the room flip other venues require which would be disruptive to your event.
  • Do you allow dogs onsite to play a part in our wedding day?
We are dog friendly with some specific stipulations. Dogs are allowed (only with pre-approval by Denise) at the ceremony and pictures. Animals, other than service animals, are NOT allowed under roof or near food. This includes the suites, Lodge and event space. Dogs must be on a leash and someone must be responsible for them other than the bride and groom.
  • Do you include a "wedding day coordinator"?
This is a great question! We provide "day of coordinator" for our couples. You are probably asking yourself, ok what does this mean? We meet with our couples twice before wedding day to go over all the details, gather all vendor information and arrival times and review the couples timeline. On wedding day, your day of coordinator will be with you the entire day until you make your grand exit. In addition, we have team members to help with guests relations, bus tables, trash removal and restroom cleanliness. We do not want you to work or have your family or friends work on wedding day! This is our job and we do it well. Our goal is to do everything possible to help your day go smoothly and ensure your day is as stress-free as possible.
