What is The Barn?


The Barn at Boondocks Farm is a 4200 sq. ft. Amish style barn that is situated on a beautiful 18-acre secluded tract we call The Meadows. The uniqueness of The Barn having sliding wooden doors that open on each side to covered porches with whiskey barrel cocktail tables and rocking chairs adorning each side makes The Barn a memorable venue for any occasion.




How do I schedule a tour?


You can fill out the form located on the Contact page or call 317-498-6064. We do not put a time frame on our tours as we will spend as much time with you as you like to tour The Barn and The Lodge as well as answer any questions you may have. And we want to show you all the beautiful places on The Farm for wedding photos!




Can my horses be part of my ceremony?


Yes, we are an equestrian friendly farm. We love horses and have a few of our own. We have staff that are experienced equestrians, and we can assist you with the logistics and details so you can include your horses in your ceremony.




Can my dogs be part of my ceremony?


Absolutely! As dog lovers ourselves, we understand how important it is to have your fur babies included in your special day. We ask that after the ceremony arrangements be makde for your dogs to be picked up.




Are you LGBTQ+ Friendly?


Yes, our company provides equality of services and care to everyone, regardless of people’s age, disability, gender, gender identity, race, religion or belief or sexual orientation.




Is there a wedding coordinator or day of event coordinator?


Its included! The Classic and The Farm Wedding comes with a Day of Event Coordinator Services. As your Day of Event Coordinator, we will start working with you about one month in advance to confirm vendors, develop a detailed schedule for your day and a floor plan for your reception and ceremony. Our role includes a day of vendor coordination, keeping ceremony & reception schedule flowing flawlessly, assisting with rehearsal and most importantly we stick to your Vison of Your Day.




Do I have a rehearsal time?


Yes, each package includes a 1- hour scheduled rehearsal time. Coordinate this date with our staff.




Do you have an open vendor policy?


Yes! We do have a list of vendors if you need assistance or recommendations.




Do I need Insurance?


Yes, we require a minimum of $1,000,000 liability coverage, and require a copy of your certificate of insurance 30 days prior to your event. We can assist on how to obtain a policy if needed. We also require a $500.00 refundable damage deposit due 30 days before your event.




How long will the date I inquire about be held for me?


A date can be held for a total of 5 consecutive days. If we receive interest in the date you have selected, we will notify you and provide you a 24-hour time frame to either confirm or release the hold.




What is your payment policy for booking an event?


We require 25% deposit and we offer a "Payment over Time" plan. Your final payment will be due 30 days before your event date. Your deposit is nonrefundable. Once paid in full there is no refund of the deposit or the full rental fee.




What is the seating capacity of The Barn?


When reserving the barn for the day you will get tables with seating up to 250 included. Additional seating can be arranged if needed. Our Event Staff will work with you and your preferred arrangement of the tables. Typically, our indoor barn weddings have the tables arranged with a center aisle that guests sit at their assigned table. We will include two rows (32) chairs near the area of your nuptials for those you choose to be nearer. If you would like all rows of seating for your ceremony, we suggest you choose to have an outdoor ceremony and then move inside for your barn reception. Contact us to discuss your vision and we will assist as best we can.




How long do I have use of The Barn Venue the day of the event?


13 hours - 10 am - 11 pm day of event. With the exception to The Farm Wedding Experience which allows you access to The Barn for 2 days from 11 am – 11 pm the day prior to your event and 8 am to 11 pm day of event. (36 Hours) With The Elopement Experience you have a 6 hour access to the barn.




Can I rent The Lodge without The Barn Venue?


Yes. We would love to help plan your stay or private event at The Lodge. Please Contact Boondocks Farm or call 317-498-6064.




Is the Farm Wedding available othen then Friday & Saturday?


Absolutely! Choose any 2 - 3 day combination of dates to fit your event needs. Contact us for pricing and availability. Additional day/days can be added as well.




What is The Wedding Lawn?


The Wedding Lawn is a beautifully manicured lawn adjacent to The Barn. With the beauty of The Meadows and the woods as a backdrop, The Lawn is ideal for those who would like to have a ceremony outdoors and the convenience of The Barn for a reception. There is no additional fee to use the Wedding Lawn. Some couples like to find the ideal romantic spot in our woods for a outdoor ceremony. We can certainly give you suggestions if you like.




What is The Lodge?


The Lodge is a 6000-sg ft. home located on The Farm overlooking Montgomery Creek. With decks for outdoor relaxation, entertainment and an in-ground pool, The Lodge is a perfect addition to your venue for the night before or day of event overnight accommodations. The deck and pool patio area make an ideal outdoor location for a rehearsal dinner, private party, bridal showere, baby showers, family gathering, or corporate meetings.
